...kitchen is unpacked and placed, the rest of the house is a complete mess. The boxes are EVERYWHERE, but my babies are sleeping in Madolynnes bed, I am sitting on my couch....sipping favorite red wine out of my favorite wine glass (living in a box for almost an entire year)....thanking God for the silence I hear now after the chaos. Life is good....not perfect (no where near that....that would be boring), but oh, so good! Thinking about this whole house situation had me thinking. I know, shocking! This house Sat on the market a little longer than most houses in this town. Many looked at it online and a few actually viewed the house personally....all knowing that there was a lot of work to be done. Of course, there was (and still is) much work to be done to this house for most to be satisfied. My point being....I love this house. It is mine- every nook and cranny, crack, brick and beam. I saw the potential of what would come out of hard work, love, determination and perseverance. So many judged this house by its cover. It is and will be much more. We do it so often with people. I do too. Its in our nature because we always feel judged by others as well. Thankfully, our heavenly Father can see passed our flesh instantaneously and reads our hearts. The tall, short, bald, white, black, male, female, young, old, athletic, nerd...whatever. All of us He loves! He knows the work that has to be done within each one of us, but at the same time sees the absolute beauty that all of us have. I want to be more like that.... :)
