(listen to the music today...feel it too... :) ) In my book, great art is something that makes me feel something. Its something that effects me deeply in some way and asks me to stop for a moment, experience and feel the gift it wishes to deliver to me. It can be a piece of music, a painting, a natural and awe-inspiring visage as I take a drive, a written composition...well, it can be pretty much anything for me...so many things can hit me in such a place. Its a beautiful life... I always get a good idea that its so when I notice, after a while sometimes, what Im doing when Im in its company. With music and me, I notice it drives me to want to move...when its good in my book. Its good when I cant help but move. Sound holds hands with movement in my world...its simply a given. It comes with shapes and colors, flows, steps, dances... This is a song Ive been obsessing over lately. This one hits me hard and deep, visceral and raw, neanderthal and base. It chooses the expression of itself through me when I close my eyes and let go, when I let it find its way, through me, in its truth through mine... I know every woman will understand my next statement because we all have at least ONE song that turns us immediately into a wanton, stare directly into your eyes as Im dancing and stripping for you, and never break eye contact even as Im removing your clothes, song...whether they will admit it or not out loud. This is one of mine... Ahhhh...life can be so much fun sometimes...*grins* Are you having fun yet? If not, just give yourself permission...its all just a part of this interesting, gorgeous human experience...and always your choice as to how you would like it to go... (Not sure you guys will understand this one, but if not, youll understand it from another angle...LOL! Do guys have songs that turn them into strip dancers? :) )
