living in lake los angeles, i stayed up late one night watching a made for HBO movie called nature of the beast...it starred eric roberts and lance henrikson (whose name i didnt know at the time....to me, he was bishop from the movie aliens).....the movie was SO good and intense that there was no way i was going to sleep until it ended....and the ending blew me away....so after a few hours of sleep, i got up, still blown away by the ending of that movie, i went to see a new customer in shadow hills...an area known for horse property....and as i drove up the driveway, i kept seeing out of place objects....a misplaced gazebo...a vintage boat...motel signs...not trashy...just odd...and as as i knocked on the door of this home, all of these items seemed familiar for some reason....and who answers the door?...lance henrikson....oh shit dude was the way i greeted my new customer....i told him that he was the reason i was so tired that morning and why...and he explained that all of the items in the yard were momentos from each movie he was in...i felt bad to admit that i didnt know his name...he laughed and said in his deep,deep voice as he looked at his clipboard at least i know yours, mark east....he gave me a tour of his place...and he even showed me the model of the alien that popped out of the guys stomach from the first movie....i did alot of copper work there for that guy...and he would bring up a couple of coronas and have a beer with me once a day....greatest guy ever :)
