long ago, a cold wintry night. you made me a promise while you held me tight. you said, darling i love you with every inch of flesh in me, and i promise to you, i will love you for eternity. i smiled in a warm delight, because losing you was no longer a fright. now as the snow melts all around me, i look to my left; empty. that promise you made me, my heart i have you, you stole it and tossed it, and now i am left feeling blue. your broken promise, my empty heart, your words were lies, you tore me apart. i had no idea eternity was this short, i thought you would stick around, but you chose to abort. lovely thoughts, hideous lies; you left me here, without any goodbyes. you deceived me and left me broken, and now our final goodbye was left unspoken.
