m leaving next Sunday. My new goal . Habana -Santiago in a wheelchair. The desire to see such a different reality is combined with the desire to prove to myself and to others that if I do (I have many problems!!! eheheh) then an able-bodied person can go anywhere . Too many excuses, too many references to fill the mouth of many people. If you want something , go and do anything to get it. The trip is a metaphor. The risks ? There are always and in every choice, the real Living ...the one that does not lead to regrets. But, this is not the truth ... its just my story ... . It was long time ago I had in mind a trip like this and it was becoming a regret , also due to my physical condition deteriorated , ( I suffer from Friedrich s Ataxia , neuro- degenerative disease ... Im sick and do not even know how to spell my pathology ... well this makes you figure out what kind might be heheh) , but not only. Everyday life has its beautiful responsibility , you know! So one day plus one more I thought about it and almost without thinking, I got the ticket on-line! Then began the planning ! I read a nice quote on my driving on Cuba, of course, taken after the ticket , shame on me ... eheheh, anyway says, All you need to do is decide to go, and the hardest part is done ... !!!!! A small backpack hiking with various health care in ten t -shirts and three pants and the main thing without which I could not afford the trip : my FreeWheel , a big wheel in front the chair that attaches and detaches that allows me to push myself between potholes and gravel roads . Stop . Everything else its just weight that I can not handle. How will I move, speak the language etc etc etc ... hygiene are equipped in a backpack , certain things I have to give special attention ... for the rest ? Boh ... notify me for what I can and I will adapt ... Fool you say? Unconscious ? I do not think , maybe a little , I just such a hurry to Live and come back, richer . The trip will be documented everything through the camera Autographer , whose firm , the multinational OMG ( Oxfor Metric Group) supports me and believes in my project . This tiny camera automatically takes a picture by detecting independently the best time shooting and recording instantaneous shots of everyday life. Record shots in my story , my journey , it will leave my autograph on this project. Many other companies share my project and my vision and support me ! GEICO , and the unfailing support of AISA (Italians Association of Ataxias Syndromes) and I m still looking for a lot, but even more I try reach more people that understand and share this project. I want to organize an exhibition of photographs on my return . I want to write a book when I come back , or perhaps this is already a great introduction for my book , yea ... maybe youre already reading the first pages of the book! ... Hola Ricardo Ps . for my trip I decided to leave behind a bit of things including my name , Federico , using my second Richard ... of course , in Spanish! Ps2 Sorry for my bad translate eheheh!!
