my names are wakalala Vincent residing in Kawabata government flats room 21 Francklin court. i have a big problem of the billing system with Lusaka water and sewerage .help me to correct the water biling system as i do not receive water in the flat but water bills are too high.i have tries to write letters to the director. This is one of the letters i wrote on 2nd may,2013. MRS HATONTOLA Lusaka water and Sewerage Company Lusaka Branch manager – central Reference is made to the notice you have issued to me as a reminder notice. Indeed, i have seen the outstanding balance of k424.41 and you have threatened to disconnect your water within two days The company should also understand in such matters that i wrote you the complaint letter explaining the following: • People on the 2nd floor of francolin court do not receive water during the day and are required to draw water down from the pipes on the ground floor. This exercise is hard and tiresome to ensure the availability of water for domestic use. You have never replied to my letter. • I complained on the billing of the last bill. I indicated that the company must not only wish to disconnected the water as i have managed to contribute towards paying of my bills and records indicated that i was in negative but am surprised of the bill of k400 plus. I cannot be put on fixed charge as all landlords now mage contribution to ensure that meters are installed to facilitate the billings with fair and standard. • I have complained with the company billing system due to low pressure that results my house hold not receiving the adequate water during the day.is the company indicating that the water my household receives during night time is not using the meter ? Let the company collaborate with the clients rather than just looking in the disconnection theories without resolving the problems being faced by the customers. • The company was at one time owing my account as the records indicate that I was paying on time but the company wishes to discourage a customer by providing wrong billings, this is not correct. • I now as your office to help me resolve problem once for all and we open a new chapter to customer and suppliers of water services. It is my hope that my complaint is receiving remedial action before your action of disconnecting is undertaken as this approach will affect and inconvenience the family. wakalala Vincent 21 francolin court Kabwata .Govt flats 2nd May,2013 am also writing to get advice on this letter which the company wrote to me on 5th July 2013 with reference cen/608/8690.c/fh-rp.it indicated that my complaint on the billing was resolved and i shall be paying KR 55.61 per month which was fair though it only covered the period January - April. due to non availability of overhead tank to boost pressure.now that the highlighted problems are still there and i dont receive water direct in my house, why should the billing system still remain the same and too high than the K55.61.the billing for this month is 1,904.86.if i am able to pay 55.61,why can the bill be k1904.86 .is t now fixed when i have a meter that onlys allows me to have water at nights.please help me.
