myPolice Maryborough IMMEDIATE EMAIL NOTIFICATION Please slow down on our roads Inspector Paul Biggin of the Maryborough Police Patrol Group has urged motorists to slow down after another driver was intercepted travelling more than 40km over the speed limit. A 17 year old driver was intercepted travelling 106km in a 60km zone along Urraween Road at Hervey Bay. The driver was subsequently issued with a $1026 fine, 8 demerit points, and a 6 month High Speed Suspension. Speeding is a costly exercise for little gain, and it might end up costing you more than a fine. It just isn’t worth it.
