new rules(as of yesterday): as per the Washington Post and glenn beck, the senate voted in a change that allows for the confirmation of executive branch nominees and federal judiciary with only a simple majority. formerly known as going nuclear, but now, under a dem majority the senate seems to be all in on this... almost all in anyway. three dem senators voted against along with all repub senators. still, it passed. contrary to over 200 years of precedence(constitution... whats that?), our prez, with the proper endorsements from other equally simple minded statists is touting this change as a real opportunity to get things done in Washington... whew, thank god theyre finally goal oriented. anyway, cant wait to see what happens when one side of the aisle gets to flex its political muscles unchallenged, and what happens when a hand picked supreme court rubber stamps all that comes their way. im sure well go from sitcom to greek tragedy in a hurry. glennbeck/2013/11/22/dems-reckless-power-grab-glenn-reacts-to-passage-of-the-nuclear-option/
