not sure why the date i moved back to Humboldt county will forever be etched in my memory, but August 28, 1997, I relocated from Sacramento to the place I was raised. when I was younger, I wanted to live in L.A. or N.Y. after having two sons, I could not wait to raise them in the same area I was raised. the habitat and the people make this area a true world treasure and very very different from other places in a pleasant way. I often wonder, briefly, if it was a good decision... then quickly realize it was possibly one of the best decisions of my life. there are too many reasons to list my two sons are, and will be, people I truly like. most moms love their children... not all moms are fortunate to truly LIKE their offspring. happy anniversary Humboldt and thank you for being so unique. mild weather, truly picturesque landscape (with unlimited outdoor recreation) and hosting a multitude of magnanimous and somewhat diverse human beings that enjoy intellectual dialogue.
