now!!! SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION DIGITAL APP Spontaneous Combustion digital app is the product of a 2-week residency at arebyte gallery. Rather than a navigation tool, this platform invites audiences to experience multiple narratives to the artists projects. Cluster Bomb will ask you to use your phones as a compass as they will you with you in their chase for an unreachable island, along the lines of J.G. Ballard. Miniature cities, hidden urban forests and a books distribution warehouse are only some of the destinations of this journey. clusterbombcollective.yolasite/ REBECCA EVANS Choreographer Rebecca Evans has tranformed her widely acclaimed piece Decoy, presented at The Place earlier this year, into a digital and live experience where you will be asked to follow her dancers whilst performing a series of circles in and outside arebyte gallery. Working with the idea of how the use of mobile phones affects our gestures and posture, this piece will lead you in the eye of an irresistible marry-go-round. olivedance.wix/rebeccaevansdance HANNAH STEARN Hannah Stearn researched the idea of transcribing radio waves. She set up a pirate radio station for the festival that will transmit from a boat passing along Lee Navigation. A live performance at 2pm on Saturday at the German Deli/Outdoor Gym location will be timed with the passing of the boat along the canal. The app is available on Saturday and Sunday and plays sounds that are left as traces where the radio waves have been trasmitted. Collaborators: Ruth Edwards hannahstearn HANNAH GARDINER Hannah Gardiner, has created a trail around the area that audiences are encouraged to discover through the app. Her collaborators and the artist herself are burlesque characters to a surreal narrative, that audiences experience only through videos of past events available to view through the app. She is interested in stories told by local people, who she interviewed throughout the process.
