As you read this article, Syria is currently experiencing the worlds most violent and biggest civil war, with an over 120,000 deaths in the past three years. There is on-going devastating armed conflict in Iraq since the withdrawal of American troops over a year or so ago. In Africa, South Sudan, the Central African Republic etc., are all embroiled in armed conflict, in ethnic violence thats taking its toll on the population which has resulted in thousands of deaths and displacement of refugees in U.N. camps, with some fleeing into neighbouring countries. D.R. Congo is not spared. Unrest in Egypt has rocked the country for months. Nigeria is fighting running battles with the Boko Haram Islamists group or whatever. Last year, one of Kenyas upmarket malls was attacked by an armed group of men, resulting in numerous deaths. The list is endless. Will it ever end, one may ask? What does the Bible say about wars, armed conflict in the latter days?
