okay so a LOT of people have been asking for updates on my stolen horses, but first I want to thank every single person who has seen, taken note, shared, or commented on any of my posts in any group or my page. I truly appreciate it. I have been overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of the community in general. For the past two days, I have not had internet at the house. Someone picked the absolute perfect time to sever the cable underground on my road. As of 4pm this afternoon, its been repaired and I am able to get back online. Trying to answer questions or keep track of comments from my crappy phone and 3g network has been difficult, so if i have missed a question, please resend. I unfortunately cannot divulge everything the police and I have uncovered- but I will say it includes the neighbors security cameras. Still, I dont know how much closer we are to getting them back. They can be anywhere by now. My current reward is $400 PER HORSE for information leading to their safe return. This is more than they will reasonably fetch at auction, again as neither has her papers with her and neither rides all that well. I AM CURRENTLY IN DESPERATE NEED OF VOLUNTEERS FROM ALL OVER WHO REGULARLY GO TO THEIR LOCAL AUCTIONS-- I need people to post flyers and to keep an eye out for these mares. I will send you whatever you need. Again, please only folks who regularly go to the auctions who can just keep their eyes and ears open. It may take MONTHS for these girls to surface. They also may not come together. They may even surface in Texas or Oklahoma for all we know. Seriously though, why would someone steal a mare? All i keep thinking about is that research farm in north Georgia. Does anyone have contacts up there? I know theyre very guarded and its VERY difficult to find- but I want to get them a flyer so that if someone tries to bring the mares to them for research purposes I can (hopefully) be notified. I want to offer: if the mares have already been sold, I want the purchaser (who did no wrong by unknowingly purchasing a stolen animal) to feel comfortable coming forward. They will not lose their money. I will not take the horse back---- provided we apprehend the person responsible for stealing them. It is far more important to me to know where the horses are and if they are safe and happy. I just want to catch the SOB who did this heinous thing and violated my personal property and took whats mine in BROAD DAYLIGHT. This was supposed to be a holiday weekend, and instead I have been in hell. Im doing my best to stay positive, but it sure is hard. I have stretched myself to the absolute limit of my sanity and have worried myself an entire pants size smaller. I have cried myself to sleep every night wondering where my horses might be and if they are unharmed. I will not stop. I will not relent. I cannot write this off until ALL my resources have been expended. I again want to thank everyone who wrote to me for their kindness and compassion. If you took two seconds out of your day to study the pictures of the mares and commit them to memory, I am indebted to you. Thank you all, truly, from the bottom of my heart. I know with your effort and public awareness, my mares will be found. I could not achieve that alone.
