old golfers …. There was a group of four old golfers, Tom, Dick, Harry & Alfonso, who played golf together every other day for years. As the years progressed, their games became increasingly difficult, due to their fading eyesight. More & more they struggled to keep track of where they hit their balls. One day, one of the old golfers, Dick, finally went off to the great club house in the sky, causing the remaining three to have a discussion about finding a replacement 4th. They all agreed that they needed someone who could help keep track of where they were hitting their shots. One of the group said he knew a real ‘eagle-eye’ player who would be absolutely perfect for the group: George simply never lost sight of the ball. Anyway, they invited George to join their foursome & the next day, off they went to play. As their newest member, they invited George to tee-off 1st. ‘Thwack’ was the sound that echoed from the 1st tee, as George belted his ball 300 yards down the fairway. Tom, Harry & Alfonso all craned their necks, vainly trying to see where George’s ball had gone – all to no avail. Then Tom asked George if he had seen where it had gone, to which George responded ‘yes’. ‘Where is it?’ said Tom. ‘I can’t remember!’ came the reply.
