on this peaceful, bright and sunny sunday morning, whilst I partake in a light prima colazione of a pint mug of tetley and poached eggs on marmite smothered toast, I have come to the decision that I will not be purchasing the autobiography of a great man, a great leader of men, a great football man and arguably the man I most admired and looked up to after my father and uncle...the reason I wont buy his book is not solely based on the my belief that another autobiography was totally unnecessary or the claims that steven gerrard is not a top player are absurd and thier only purpose was sensationalism, but because I have read that while Sir Alex has been busy on tour publicising it, one venue has been hushed up and swept under the carpet....an appearance at an exclusive, fee paying private school where privileged folk pay £18,000 a year for their darling Hugos board and education....what must his left-wing close pals like the repugnant Alistair Campbell and Gordon Brown be thinking of the Labour Party Fundraising Knight of the Realm?...the book was ghost written by a journalist who works at The Telegraph and launched at the IOD in Pall Mall, a bastion of trade union hating Conservative capitalism..what must his hammer & sickle ex comrades in the Govan shipyards be thinking?..which brings me to why I wont spend my pony ....as much as I love and respect the gaffer, ultimately, he is comparable to many a socialist who comes into a few bob (or a few tens of millions of Her Majestys pound coins in his case) and betrays his roots...... he is a hypocrite!
