only been back in toronto 32 hours and already it feels even colder than before. in scotland i was saying hiya with just about every person i passed and made even the most fleeting eye contact with, or if it was a car passing while i was walking, we waved at each other. back in toronto, i just feel alienated from every person i see. i just walked to the shop for groceries and feel more alone than i ever did while i was hiking on my own somewhere in the cairngorms or camping somewhere in the secluded wilderness. i felt so much more at home and a feeling of belonging whether it was the west side of glasgow or the isle of islay than i ever do in this city. https://youtube/watch?v=Sk5SkiBna24
