over 99% of the species who have ever lived on this planet are now extinct. what they all had in common is that none of them could ever see it coming. just how far does being able to fathom that we will ultimately die out one day go? we as a species have so many endhgame scenarios for the human race and there are only like three that we can figure out how to stop once they start. it reminds me of a story about a man who in his youth recieved a mutilating injury to his leg and as a result the pain of which could predict the weather and as a result always had an umbrella when it rained and though he could stop a small misfortune over and over he still died during a tsunami while vacationing in thailand. no matter how we try and how many ways we can figure out to see the future.... ultimately you are going to die. so excercise keep your mind sharp and do everything you can because one day its all going to end and you want to make sure you look good when an asteroid hits or some flu decimates the masses.
