pls give us the life of Twisha,a 3 Yr Old Girl Born without a foodpipe (twishamakwana). 3-year-old Twisha looks like a normal girl with her clothes on but she is not. Twisha, only child to her poor single mother Sweety Makwana, is born without food pipe hence she is unable to eat from her mouth to stomach. Twisha has already undergone 20 various surgeries in Sydney, Australia, with no success to cure her condition. After many failed surgeries on Twisha, other alternate medical treatments are offered around the world, such as Gastric Pull Up, Colon Interposition, and Gastric Tube. These treatments are called replacement procedures, which will cause damage to Twisha’s other body organs (such as stomach or colon or intestines, etc.). These will also leave her with physical deformity and causes other medical complications and medicines for the rest of her life, which can be life threatening. Twisha is born with a defect in her food-pipe; her mother does not want to cause damage to her stomach/colon, where there is still possibility to grow her own food pipe via Foker Treatment at Boston Children’s Hospital in USA – the only medical treatment that can give her a chance to live a normal quality of life in future. The estimated cost for Twishas medical treatment at Boston is 1.2 million dollars. Through support from Indians globally her mother has raised 8 lakh dollars. She needs the remaining 4 lakh dollars as soon as possible. Twisha is going to be 4 years in January 2015. As she grows older her chances of undergoing this life saving operation successfully go dim. Twisha deserves small happiness like playing in a park, eating her favourite food and chocolates, playing in school and park, and a life without wounds and painful dilation. One is for Gastrostomy from where her mother injects formula milk directly into her stomach to keep her alive. There is another tiny hole on Twishas chest from where she spits her saliva. That saliva gets drained into a stomal bag applied on site, which has to be emptied almost every 2 hours. Twisha also takes fake oral feeds to prevent oral aversion.
