poetry feature: so this poem is one of many beautiful handwritten poems by Anne-Marie Garises, it is one of my favourites simply because of its stunning simplicity and the way it captures the essence of writing, and feeling lost to what you have written. No Censor, No Edit. One day I wish to transmit my exact thoughts onto paper (that day hasnt arrived yet) -A.I.G I think this poem captures the simplicity of the frustration of not believing what you write, its form and structure echoing how lost I typically feel when faced with a half-empty page and words that seem to flutter above the meaning I have for them. The title is an interesting one and proposes a slightly different perspective to the reader. Its lack of metaphor, complex structure and arguably, its lack of poetry really allow this piece to portray the simple frustration of not being able to convey your ideas simply.
