@qantas #qantas I was just bumped off a flight. Travelling from JFK to Brisbane. What I would like to know firstly is what is your policy regarding overselling of flights? Can you please publicize this? For the airline thats motto is the The spirit of Australia and one that has just released an advertisement campaign #feelslikehome your conduct and policies todays were contrary to both. If you want to be honest with us please do and say what your motto really is. For the shareholders My second point of grievance is around the selection of the lucky bumpees. At first we were told it was random then based on our booking time and then based on our status. This was funny as at each juncture the 5 of us were able to refute your claims. Timing, it wasnt based on when we booked our ticket as you claimed because each of us had booked in a different quarter than the next. Nice try though. Then you tried to say it was based on status. For me I travel with Qantas twice a year so maybe mine isnt as good as your seasoned traveler but the girl next to me traveled 4 times a year to and from college. Good work!! What we concluded was you picked the easy targets. We were all mid 20s. Single aussie travelers who you hoped would be easy pushovers. Again really smart. Great way to inspire loyalty in expats who live 9500 miles from home (arent we your target market?) To finish on a positive note, your 2 staff (Jim and Brian), in a difficult situation thrust upon them by your Sydney office and them sweating your airline did a great job.
