quick question on rear 80 series diffs.. done a pinion shaft in mine last week and removed the center.. noticed it was a little hard to get out the first couple of inches.. temp replaced it with a diff out of a 45 series and was impressed that it slid straight in.. only prob was the wrong ratio compared to my front diff (4.11) i sourced a diff out of a early model 100 series and been trying to fit it back in.. troub im having is getting it in the last couple of inches.. what it seems is the crown wheel is hitting on the sides of the housing.. thought maybe the 47 diff crown being a diff ratio may be a poofteenth smaller so explains why went in easier ? or is the early model 100 series diff center not compatible ? or is there a trick to putting them in ?? ta
