. . . reached the three-quarters mark in the new novel, and much quicker than i expected . . . after dumping the dreamlife of huntington sales, it feels good to be in control of my narrative this time around . . . also, its a huge relief to know that when harriet comes out next fall, ill have one in the can . . . i always like to stay ahead of the game, so that the reception of the last book has no effect on the next book . . . was worried i was gonna lose that head start when i threw away huntington . . . some people thrive writing under pressure, but im not one of them . . .
