received an update on the Nigerian girls just now .. please do your bit if you havent already .. After a month of silence, finally some news. A new video has emerged which appears to show 130 of over 200 kidnapped Nigerian schoolgirls: alive and apparently unharmed.1 It’s the first we’ve heard of the girls since their abduction -- but the video raises more questions than it answers. It doesn’t tell us where the girls are being held, or where their classmates are. What we do know is that the video was released by Boko Haram, the Nigerian militant group responsible for the girls’ capture last month. This is the same group whose leader claimed: “There is a market for selling humans.”2 At this pivotal moment, it’s crucial we keep the pressure on the Nigerian Government to use every resource at its disposal to locate the girls and return them to their families. TAKE ACTION: Tell Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan to rescue these schoolgirls from modern slavery.
