recent work: presented w the opportunity to work w a stager ( a person who is brought in to make a property more salable) the apartment had good bones, location,killer views, and layout, but was frozen in time,it had all the detritus of early sixties upper west side jewish intellectualism. he was a shrink, she a musician, the ny times from 1963 Kennedy Shot headlines lay out in plain view along w the bowl of coveted (by me) political buttons of the era. the place needed something to fetch 3 mil hoped for by the children, but the maids room converted into a scream room with the bath tub full of rat shit left something to be desired ( am sorry i dont have the befores ), so what you see here is a judicious mixture of last tenant artifacts and decorator tricks.i think he pulled it off pretty well in spite of being zonked out on percosets, prescribed for the pain of recent surgery....looking at it again ,it appears as any real estate listing of manhattan hoity toity digs..
