recently I had read a news on the paper where in migrants illegally staying in shanties at baina were given eviction notices and they protested in front of Mormugao Municipal council along with their kids dressed in school uniforms. There were almost 100 migrants protesting. The surprising site was that some politicians along with few party members had declared their support to these migrants. Let me make one thing clear, no one is against migrants coming here and working but me and many others like me are against these people for illegally capturing or grabbing our land. First they come to work here than they raise illegal shanties, than they have ration card, 15 years residence certificate, voters card afterwards these shanties turns into small houses. My question is that why should we allow these people to encroach on our land where by we goans who work hard all day are not in a position today to buy a piece of land or if we want to buy we have to pay through our nose. Where as these people are nicely enjoying fookat ka land with blessings of our politicians. Secondly they had brought their childrens to protest and during these protest some childrens got fainted. Now getting children to this protest is a violation of children right act, I taught that some human right group will come forward and file case against these peoples leaders so that they can learn a lesson for using the childrens for protest. I fully support this government on this issue and hope that they will continue demolishing all the illegal structures on government land.
