setuju ama analisis ini :D 16 goals, 13 assists: Why Liverpool should use some of the potential Luis Suarez money on Dortmund’s Marco Reus Reports today claim that Liverpool officials will meet with their Barcelona counterparts in London to open negotiations for Luis Suarez’s potential transfer to the Nou Camp. The fee for Suarez is set to be a straight £80 million in cash or £50m plus Alexis Sanchez. Sanchez has been superb for Barcelona over the past 12 months, scoring 21 goals in all competitions last season, including some memorable strikes, and carried his form into the World Cup with Chile. He scored two goals in four matches as his country were knocked out by Brazil in the last-16 after previously knocking out Spain at the group stages. Sanchez has been heavily linked with Arsenal and Juventus as well as Manchester United but it is understood that Liverpool will demand him in the transfer deal that would see Suarez end his three-year stay at the club. Should the Chilean forward be a part of the deal, that would leave Liverpool with £50m in cash to spend on the squad. Who should they sign? Marco Reus, without a second of doubt. The German was absolutely fantastic for Borussia Dortmund last season. He made 30 appearances in the Bundesliga, scoring 16 goals and creating 90 chances. Just one player at Dortmund scored more than him – Robert Lewandowski with 20 – and only Max Kruse (97) created more chances than him in the German league. The forward was ranked fifth in Europe’s top leagues for chances created and made three more than Suarez did at Liverpool. The German midfielder, who missed the World Cup with an injury in a warm-up game just prior to the tournament, also assisted 13 goals with only Angel Di Maria (17) assisting more in Europe’s best leagues. Reus was Dortmund’s most impressive player last season and remained consistent throughout the entire campaign. He finished the season top of their Performance Score chart with 1032 points – the only player in the squad to break the 1000-point mark. The German playmaker is growing in stature and improving all the time and could be the star that Liverpool are looking for to properly replace Suarez. If the Reds signed Reus to go alongside Sanchez – presuming he arrives as part of the Suarez deal – they could have a front three of Reus, Daniel Sturridge and Alexis Sanchez. That would be absolutely devastating and would challenge on both the domestic and European fronts. He completed 81 take-ons last season which was three more than Neymar managed at Barcelona and just four short of Arjen Robben at Bayern Munich so it shows the bracket he’s in. Reus is a confident player capable of stepping inside from the left wing and causing chaos for opposition defences. He’s able to shoot when he cuts in, or cut an entire defence apart with one pass. He would be absolutely perfect for Liverpool and, if the reported release clause of £35m is true, he wouldn’t cost a huge amount given his clear, world class talent. Liverpool are selling one of the top three players in the world in Suarez. To truly replace him and improve without him, they have to make a big statement in the transfer market with the money they get in return for him. Sign Reus and form a devastating attack – that would make people sit up and pay attention.
