... so. .. as my birth day approaches, I am want to take a review of my past and do a mileage check as to how far I am from where I thought Id be. .. it probably comes as no surprise, to those who know me, that by all appearances I am not even on the same planet as to where I thought Id be. ..I mean, I figured that Id be retired and living the life of Reilly... you know. .. farting though silk, smoking big Cuban cigars, visiting interesting places and meeting new and exciting people. .. wearing those plaid Bermuda shorts along with those ever so fashionable knee high socks... couple of cameras dangling from my neck. ..well. .. none of those things have come to pass except for maybe the cigars but they are gifts that friends have brought back for me when they have gone to exciting places and all that other stuff... but you know what?. .. even though Im not doing what I thought Id be doing. .. Im blessed to be living the life I do lead. ..I have people who, for whatever twisted reasons of their own, love me. ..my health is good ...I have, arguably, most of my faculties still intact...I get to house sit at some very cool places. .. and I sometimes get to do what I love and play music with some pretty awesome people. ..I dont really think I would change anything even if I could. .. so. .. Im not where I thought Id be but am definitely where I wanna be. ..
