so here is what happened: On wednesday we were getting ready to shoot the 2nd day for our new Mighty High Coup song ALL THE WAY (prod Justin Padron Eddie Gold Wes Green) and I pulled my car to the top of this very steep drive way with the intentions of checking in with the owner of the house and then pulling my car down to park on the street. Apparently, I left the car in drive (2nd gear position in automatic transmission). The car sat there in place just fine, appearing to be safely in the park position. As we were discussing the shots for the video, the director and I were at the bottom of the left side of the drive way and the owner of the home and one of his daughter were on the other side of the driveway. After a few minutes of my car just sitting there running, a friend kindly asked if I would like the to turn it off and I responded yes. Since I did not put it in park, as soon as the engine was shut off, it began to roll down to hill straight towards the home owner and his daughter. I saw this and was terrified. About half way down it began to roll off of the drive way on to the embankment on the right side of the driveway which forced the front wheels to turn and now it is coming directly for me. For a split second I felt relief in that I felt confident that I could get out of the way of the car. I ran up the hill but as the front wheels turned even more, the car almost chased me up the hill. At about the same exact time that the car hit me, gravity took back over and pull the car further down the hill. Some how by the end of all of this, I was knocked completely out of my shoes and some how I was laying on my chest under neath the back bumper of the car, NOT being crushed. THANK GOD. When I jumped up, still feeling relief that no one else (small children specifically) was hit, I thought I may have a broken arm from the impact. I was feeling my arm to check for a break in hopes of actually doing the video shoot. Upon a little further inspection, we see blood coming from around my arm pit. When I looked, there was more white (fat tissue) that red/blood. Of course we then went to the ER and got sewed up (20 stitches) and they told me to see a specialist today to see if tendons/muscles were damaged. According to my visit today, the doctor says it appears that the only things damaged were my skin and fatty tissue. He also only charged me $80 for todays visit. I did acquire about $5,000 in bills from the emergency room but as of right now it appears that everything will work out just fine. Thank you all for your prayers, posts and general positive vibes. This accident has renewed my love for every minute of life and reminds me to appreciate those that love me because it could all be over in an instant.Thank GOD that little girl was not hurt and no one else was injured because I am the one who left the car out of park, so I feel if anyone deserved to be injured it was me and that is exactly what happened.
