so this spectacular moment happened today. on my way to work we ran into this ridiculous traffic jam, the chap sitting at the front (right in front of the conductor) gets out to let other people get off in traffic. a traffic warden appeared basically out of nowhere grabs his arm and promptly informs him that hes going to the cell for getting off in traffic. WOMAN! if you were huko mbele doing your job then we wouldnt have to shuka na jam.youre in charge of traffic not pedestrians! he starts. he then proceeds to argue with the woman the whole time indicating with his free hand for all the other people to get out while shes distracted by his constant barrage of logic and absolute nonsense. when all the other people are out (with the exception of me who likes to read and an old lady) the guy tells the traffic warden hata sikuwa nashuka ni hao wengine!hii ndio mzigo wangu,singeenda nikiwache(I wasnt getting off it was the others, this is my luggage I couldnt have left it) while pointing to a sack under his seat. she realizes shes been had when she looks inside and notices the near empty matatu. Traffics opened up so she lets him go and he jumps in ,turns back winks at me then starts chatting with the driver and conductor in kikuyu laughing their asses off. when we get to the bus station he gets off and so does the old lady, he picks up the bag helps the old lady put it on her head then walks off in the opposite direction. It was never HIS bag!
