some things about electronic music always seem curious to me. I see new remixes of Imogen Heap - Hide & Seek pretty regularly. A few things to notice about that. The song dropped originally in 2005! Thats a long time for any track but think about how many remixes of that song have happened in almost 10 years. Personally I just listen to them and think I wouldnt even bother trying to remix that at this point for a ton of reasons. Chances yours gets any real notice? Probably none. You have probably heard at least 10 insanely nasty remixes of it that have already come and gone. Sound Remedy? Candyland? Mt Eden? Tiesto? Didnt even Avicii remix it?! And thats just the ones I can remember off the top of my head. I donno. maybe people find inspiration in trying to one up established artists, but I think at this point Frou Frou is probably wishing people would scope the rest of the music shes made since. check out her midi dj effect glove! Shes become so much more than that song! And this one is still my favorite!
