sometimes its good to have a little bit of reflection - in this case, to thank everyone who has come to the recent shows, particularly my american friends whove shown up in such a big way to the first half of the i got what you need tour. seeing all those smiles and the big reactions and sing-alongs to my tunes (nothing you can say seems to be the current favorite!!) is, for someone who makes music, the biggest possible thrill. since im not always making tunes 100% for the dancefloor, it really is remarkable when i can play, for example, my remix for above and beyond at 119bpm at 2:30am in chicago!! and it feels just as right as if i played some banging house or techno - actually it feels much better :) i guess few djs have these options, and im very thankful for everyone being open minded and up for anything. and for the record, im also thankful for the madness that goes down when i drop some cirez d or 16BL...if i can have both types of moments every time i play, i think ive done a good job. im getting incredibly excited to come back to the states this month, starting with a big one - my homecoming show in SF on the 18th at Vessel. from there ill head to miami, tomorrowworld in ATL, Uhall in DC, and then a boat party in seattle during decibel festival. sounds awesome - and i look forward to playing some of my own productions at all of them :)
