state of the heart:: cascading out ages 1. night sleet :: a spray of headlight bathes the man on a crane who calls to his mates in icy slickers lugging limbs:: good men making Christmas over time in our broken trees 2. blue kills black :: no consequence in filthy weather shaken citizens block bridges stage die-ins among the trains + mastodons :: in the surgical theater of nightfall young residents press stethoscopes to our own hearts 3. i am at home with this :: kitchen die-in (her seizure) our daughter slithers on the floor :: (mermaid in a sand storm) no broken limb (hurrah) no memory of the fall (mixed blessing) no man on a crane can transform her 4. weeks ago at Avenue of the Minotaur we parked our woes + threaded through empires un-walled though ravishing:: love the silver olive plumage:: o live the wild goats leap:: the harvesters sacks full are free as smoke lucky as a scratch ticket with raki for digestion + forget!
