#tbt: The World Series reminded me of some of my most cherished childhood memories. My dad James C Williams has always been a huge Chicago Cubs fan. By default, my brothers Stanley Williams, Alex Williams and I were fans too. My dad took us to at least one game every year and we watched just about all the rest on WGN in Chicago. Hed take us out in the yard and throw the ball with us. I always pretended I was Johnny Bench! One thing that has changed in #MLB since is the 7th inning stretch. At Wrigley Field there was ALWAYS the singing of the theme song of baseball Take Me Out to the Ball Game, lead by the legendary Harry Caray. The entire crowd would belt it out in unison. Thats one of the things that made the game the game in my mind. They didnt do that this year. Dont get me wrong, I loved God Bless America, but to this Cub Fan, thats not the song for the 7th inning stretch. Congrats to the #SFGIANTS. Great job #KCROYALS. youtu.be/OxyjkXrUzdE
