#tbt Ugh, today marks the anniversary of another sad day in history. On September 15, 2011, the last Ford Crown Victoria rolled off of the assembly line with the closing of this plant. It was a solemn occasion with thousands of auto workers signing their name under the hood of the very last traditional full size American car and taking photos. This video shows the final Ford Crown Victoria as it rolls off the assembly line forever into history. I cant even think of or see the year 2011 without getting a bit of emotional over the fate of this car. It wasnt just a car! This was a way of life! Though this car wasnt the most powerful or the best on gas, it was a roomy, solid, well-designed vehicle along with the Lincoln Town Car and Mercury Grand Marquis. They were easy to repair and could last for miles! I love this car and wouldnt want any other currently. I hope Ford has a change of heart and decides to recreate another full size rear wheel drive car again. Until then, I will own no other car but a Panther Platform.
