#tbt to a poem I wrote when I was 17 and drunk. Not too much has changed in 10 years haha. Did you watch it wash away? from your secluded little beach like steam from the kettle each day and passing week full-speed into darkness at such a sluggish pace did you go by like your father, another meter in the Race? sitting there dissolving a cube of sugar in the rain did you curse the Earth’s revolving, that vulgar bullet train! I bet you did and I’m sure you don’t realize that the hue and hope and glint have swaggered from your eyes and now they sit like balls of wax full of boredom, loss and want Just the shadow of a dullard’s past In halls unfit to haunt stark and grey they’ll go on without that avid kindle; it’s dark dismay that you get when you let your torches dwindle.
