tepidly I embrace history By Stanley Okon Nsemo Those words Slowly they creep out of my soul Betraying every thought, every emotion frozen in folly within trust, naked I stand I know this feeling, It starts ever so slowly Enslaving every muscles, Nothing seems to matter...even time The sweetness of two eyes locked in understanding The sound of loud nothingness transcending time I am lost...in this forgotten pleasure of old My soul leaps without warning...I hold back A path well traveled by my ego... Tears and blood entrenched within each passing cloud Sunlight burns and the moon freezes all but pain I have felt this before...I must flee to wisdom I stand, I run...its second nature...I can do this in my sleep There will be no broken hearts, no blood spilled this time... tepidly I embrace history.
