“terrific experience-great young guide” We did Hanoi Street Food Tour on our first evening in Hanoi. It was a great introduction. Got a close-up look at the Old Quarter and sampled a lot of street food at places that, on our first night, we may have been a little hesitant about. Had a small group with just three other people-all interesting. Our guide, Lan Anh, aka Kiwi, is delightful. In addition to explaining the food and a bit about the culture, she was terrific in telling us about the life of a younger person in Vietnam today. All of the places we ate at were full of Vietnamese and not tourists. We ended the evening at a coffee place that we would have never have found on our own. The entrance was just a long hallway. But when you walked in a ways and then went upstairs, it was a busy, fun place full of locals. I highly recommend this tour and I especially recommend trying to get Kiwi.
