thank you to my little sister for this post. here is the national Anthem for Malta please read as it tells us what is expected from all of us. does not speak of conquering or anything negative. Lyrics: Lil din l-art ħelwa, l-Omm li tatna isimha, Ħares, Mulej, kif dejjem Int ħarist: Ftakar li lilha bil-oħla dawl libbist. Agħti, kbir Alla, id-dehen lil min jaħkimha, Rodd il-ħniena lis-sid, saħħa l-ħaddiem: Seddaq il-għaqda fil-Maltin u s-sliem. this is my interpretation into English. (To this sweet land, the mother that gave us her name, look after Lord like you have always looked after us, Remember that with bright light you have dressed, give dear God wisdom to whoever is governing us, Kindness to the owners and heath to the workers, make us more united and let us have peace.) Short sweet and to the point it is a pity that all national anthems do not speak of similar themes.
