#thankful - Nov 24. I guess Ive missed a few days, but Ill skip right to today and be thankful for the man I married. Im thankful he was my best friend first, quickly and intensely. Im thankful for the MASSIVE tons of laughter, the things we have in common and the things we dont. Im thankful he likes to read and talk about what he reads, Im thankful he likes to listen to me talk, too. Im thankful hes handy at d4mn near EVERYthing he tries. Im thankful hes a wonderful cook. Im thankful hes a patient, playful, intelligent, well-read parent. Im thankful were generally on the same page when it comes to parenting and partnering. Im thankful for stuff I aint going to talk about on Facebook. Im thankful hes handsome. Im thankful he thinks Im pretty and smart and funny and awesome. Im thankful he makes me feel loved every day. Im thankful he takes good care of my Martypants. Im thankful we have (basically) the same goals in life. Im thankful he makes beautiful art with a camera and helps mine get better. Im thankful we both love Joss Whedon and comic books and Star Wars and BSG and chocolate and beer and bacon and doing shots and board games and Mario Kart and 2Pac and Doctor Who and the Grateful Dead and hiking and swimming. Im thankful hes so snuggly and affectionate. Im thankful for SEVEN years now of looking at his face every day and I still get butterflies every now and again. Im thankful he said yes when I asked him to marry me. Thanks for being you, Will Jacob, and for being my person.
