the anc government allowed genetically modified organism (seeds and food) into south africa and now we are fed poison. When social movements back in 2002 during the wssd challenged this the the anc spoke person who is now a cope member of parliament arrogantly said we were mere gmo protesters and attention seekers that deserve not to be listen to (smuts ngonyama). Now our white maize for human consumption is the only genetically modified maize (our staple food) in the rest of the world. All over the world both the colonised and coloniser world governments are rejecting this kind of foods because of health, environmental, economic, faith etc reasons. I wonder if the capitalist and the those managing this society such obama, zuma etc eat the same geneticall modified food that is sold to us by food industry?
