the part about people working for companies who also help out - TopicsExpress

the part about people working for companies who also help out intelligence agencies seems obvious to anyone with a brain. Tech companies are full of employees from around the world. Each person has all kinds of possible allegiances. So whether the NSA is doing it or not, you have to logically assume all kinds of people are doing things with different objectives that may or may not completely match the desires of their employer and the people in the company may or may not agree with different interests at the employer or in an intelligence agency. In fact the desires of ones employer are not uniform since companies are full of their own politics and competing interests. If something isnt written down as a policy accessible to everyone, then you dont even know if in fact something told to you by a manager or fellow employee is even something that the employer wanted to begin with. Ive often raised this point myself because it is so blatantly obvious to anyone who stops to think for a second. Who knows what goes on with software - even open source software - mistakes are made, weaknesses might be observed and relayed on to others, etc. This is just basic logical deduction. I dont have the answers but people should have been asking the questions all along
