the whole situation surrounding minnesota vikings running back adrian peterson is indicative of a disturbing trend in our society, that of what i refer to as rushing to judgement. it seems we as a society do not believe in innocent until proven guilty but would rather rush to judgement as soon as possible. no longer do we with hold from forming our opinions until all the facts are revealed, no longer do we wait until all the witnesses have been interviewed, no longer do we wait until the entire legal process has been gone through. no, we rush to judgement as fast as we can before all this has been done. and thus we no longer have an innocent until proven guilty policy/philosophy in place but rather a guilty until proven innocent.
