I know a lot of people that swear by cross trainer shoes or just being completely barefoot! Honestly I think it just ultimately depends on who you are, what type of foot structure you have and what type of workout youre doing. There are a lot of factors that come into deciding what kind of shoe is going to be best for you! You need to think about whether not you have an high arc a flatfoot or you have joint problems. I know that when I do weightlifting if I want to properly execute heavier weight I need shoes to absorb the shock when Im lowering weight close to my body or close to the ground. Now I know if Im doing cardio, typically I enjoy being barefoot because it allows me to move around more and have better form but this also depends on your shoes. If you have a shoe thats a little bit tougher on the bottoms its going to have more resistance and not as much flexibility for holding poses at the ball of your foot. This is not always necessarily true for everyone though! I also take in to factors of what type of flooring I will be working out on since I am using my Beachbody jump mat it really takes the impact out of my knees and joints and makes it whole heck of a lot easier for me to eliminate the fear of displacing my knee again. This is just what personally works for ME! Do you go barefoot or wear shoes?!
