...there were some surprises from this UGA 2014 season~~~~~ one of them was....... ....NICK CHUBBS -> rapid rise ! The silver lining to Gurleys suspension was that it allowed a new star to begin shining in Georgias backfield. True freshman NICK CHUBB was a five-star signee. So he was expected to be good. Yet he managed to surpass those expectations, much like Gurley did as a rookie. CHUBB ran for at least 100 yards in all seven games after Gurleys suspension, stacking highlight plays by the week while helping Georgias offense maintain a high level of production without Gurley (and freshman Sony Michel, out much of the season due to injury). For his efforts, CHUBB was named as a first-team All-SEC tailback (media and coaches vote), the SEC freshman of the year (media and coaches again) and is already being mentioned as a prominent contender for the 2015 Heisman Trophy.
