this is my Samsung top load washer. it is 2 years old this month. A couple of months ago I noticed a red stain around the blue cap where the bleach goes. I popped it off and found that there was a small rust area. I dry it out and I barely ever use bleach but even so bleach or even water shouldnt be doing this to a 2 year old washer. I checked on it last week and the rust has gotten much worse and is actually eatting at the metal now I am finding it under the area where I put the detergent. I have an extended warranty and they said it wasnt covered because its not mechanical. so I called Samsung they said the same. they would send a rep out but if its found to be my fault I would pay whole thing. only one rep for Samsung for washer and dryers between here and Richmond. Id I try to sand it and put anything on it like rustoleum I void warranty. Doesnt this sound like a manufacturer problem poor quality product? I ask you?
