this is perhaps my favorite song of all time, and let me tell you why. to me, it means reflecting on your past while managing the present... a difficult proposition. it means keeping hope alive, staying the course, never giving up - not only when youre motivated to do so, but in the lowest of lows. motivation is not a constant thing, but you gotta keep moving forward even when youre running on empty. the line about about seeing friends you used to turn to, and seeing theyre running too... were all just people, but were in this together. everyone has their ups and downs, but if your friends are there through thick and thin, then youre set - and thats something special. i know im thankful for my friends, and i know well be there for each other because i really dont think theres any other way to go through life. when you give up, you feel worse about yourself, and you go into a downward spiral. weve all been there, and its nothing to be ashamed of. instead, its all the more reason to pick yourself by your bootstraps and continue on. time keeps on going whether you like it or not, might as well get with the program and do the best you can. im not a role model for motivation, but i think i understand the theory of it. i hope you guys can find some strength from this song as i do. i hope you have a great night. https://youtube/watch?v=oJYRtOPUonA
