thought for the day ... The fastest way to stop people thinking is to get them to believe they will never find an answer to things ... Religions have been doing this for millennia ... Sadly this is now also the standard in education ... This is achieved by focusing students on testing ... This creates a situation where the students do not take time to understand, only to parrot to pass exams ... The result is a lack of understanding and the habitual perception that understanding is not possible, as there is never enough time to understand ... Please read that again ! This has resulted in a workforce that is tunnel visioned, and harried by the workload, and never considers efficiency or the efficacy of their job role, as there is not enough time to understand their job ! Too busy doing the job to understand how to do it ! This is why the public sector, and increasingly the private sector, are as bureacratic as they are ;)
