time for some Sunday evening BODY LOVE real chat... I used to - TopicsExpress

time for some Sunday evening BODY LOVE real chat... I used to be very self conscious (especially with my mid section!) and i would look at all them fitspo photos and wish i would have them abs or lean legs... BUT a massive thing i have learned this year is to honestly love my body. yes, i have lost weight and gained muscle but this isnt why i have got my confidence back. This is: 1) A body is just that, a body. We all have one and they all have skin, muscles, bones, rolls, soft spots, hard spots, cellulite, stretch marks, hairs... they are all different and they are all beautiful. Do you really think anyone else cares what your body looks like? Are they looking at you for a thigh gap or abs? Are they pinching that extra flab beneath your belly button and telling you that your fat? No, so why are you? stop looking for the negative in your body and start looking for the positive. look at your sparkling eyes, cute dimples, soft skin, nice curves and think also about amazing things it can do. 2) i know what it takes to get a fitspo body and the tricks that go on to get the body like that for a particular photoshoot or event. first there are months, if not years, of hard work (exercise and diet) that goes into that body. next there is usually dehydration and/or carb manipulation that happens on the days before for event. Then on the day there is tan, make up, good lighting, rehearsed posing... and if thats not enough to get a perfect photo, there is always digital editing and there is a lot that they can do with that! so ladys (and gents), learn to love your body because it is yours, it is unique and it is the only one you have! it is your temple and has to last you for you whole life so look after it by eating healthy, nourishing food and exercising regularly especially if you have a desk job like me. Being on stage surrounded by super lean physiques has honestly widened my eyes to how different everyones bodies actually are. there is no single, perfect physique. we are all our own worst critic and if you do want to loose a few kilos remember you can love your body and change it at the same time. if this makes one person look at themselves more positively, even for one glance in a mirror, then i am happy :) sending out the body love!! xx please share so we can send the body love further xx
