tip on a current scam in the area. This scam involves a company claiming to be International winners sweepstakes. They call and say that because you are a credit card holder or a customer who has purchases green dot money card you won from an entry done by using those cards. The winnings are from 2.5 to 4.5 million dollars and a new car. My mother was contacted from this company, we knew it was a scam due to consumer reports on scams involving the company this individual claimed he was from.. They the scammers are persistent in their attempt to get potential victims to purchase a Green dot money pack reload card to pay for processing, shipping or verification process for victims to obtain the winnings. An individual claiming to be Brian Blake who says he is the President of this company known as International Sweepstake. Mr blade called from 1-876-581-6816 .We received several phone calls following the first contact from various numbers , the two individuals whom called the most claimed to be the president of that company and an individual named David Page who called from 1-876-805-5887. David Page claimed to work for UPS and was the person delivering the so called prize. Mr Page stated we had to purchase Green dot money pack card and put $450 on that card to pay for the delivery of the prize.When the President of the company called we told him what the delivery person said and he said the the shipping had been paid for and that we only had to purchase a $45 Green dot Money pack card for the verification document processing.We had contacted UPS and informed them of this situation, and they did a report on the incident against their company.We also contacted Green Dot company and they sent us this link for reporting fraud isses using their company, fraud@greendotcorp our report is ID, Issue ID FR-45676.
