; to many of us, atheism is no more of a choice than abiding the laws of physics. Its not a system of belief, its critical analysis, & systematic disbelief in dogma, religion, & bullshit on the whole. Contrary to the occasional suspicions & accusations of some religious folk, I do not lack imagination, inspiration, wonder, or meaning in life, & I find it comical they are convinced otherwise. To think that someones life is bereft of quality simply because it lacks your belief system is a bombastic narcissism, & ubiquitously dismissive of every other mind in the universe, seeing as no one thinks, feels or experiences reality exactly the same way. We are all tiny, insignificant, temporarily condensed bundles of energy, in forms both intensely impermanent yet inconceivably eternal. What need have I for a forced conviction in fiction when neither mortality nor change scares or impedes me?
