...to some faithful heart are you always 19? Very poigniant !! Ive been thinking of this song today. An Eric Bogel song about a 19yo kid killed in the fields of France in 1916. Sad and powerful. Junes version is more lyrical, while Erics is more stripped down. He found the song as he came across a gravestone from WW1. Flowers of the Forest was a military song of the era. War is a game with no easy answers or solutions.
